September 18, 2010, Saturday 6th Annual Cream Cheese Festival! The Lowville Cream Cheese Festival is planning its sixth year for September 18, 2010. The event has been a great success and a significant event for our community. The cooperation from all of our local businesses and organizations has been critical to the growth of the Festival.
We are very interested in coordinating events with other organizations to attempt to make the cream Cheese Festival into a full weekend of activities. September 25th - October 5th Painting the Town Pink Plans are now underway for the 1st annual Paint the Town Pink decorating contest and we encourage all Lewis County Businesses to show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness and get into the decorating spirit.
First prize: 2 tickets to the 3rd annual Lewis County General Hospital Breast Cancer Awareness Dinner on October 5th. All entries will receive a certificate for their participation. The contest will run from September 25-Oct 5. Judging will be conducted on Friday, October 1st. Winners will be recognized at the Breast Cancer Awareness Dinner and local newspapers. Decemer 10, 2010 Christmas in Croghan 6-8 PM The Village of Croghan comes alive with excitement on Friday, December 10th. Entire families from all over come to enjoy the holiday atmosphere of this quaint little village.
Neighbors met neighbors, children played, and met with Santa and Mrs. Santa along with many other activities. The CIA (Croghan Improvement Assocation) will put on an Old Fashion Christmas in this unique village.

2010 Tug Hill Photo Contest 2nd Annual Tug Hill Photo Contest The winning photo will be featured as the cover of the Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust 2011 Calendar, and the photographer will receive the honor of being on the cover of the only Tug Hill Calendar. Twelve other outstanding photos will be featured as months, while several other photos will be included throughout the calendar.
Pictures of all seasons can be submitted as film prints, slides and digital images. Digital images must be 3600 pixels wide x 2700 pixels hight (9x12 at 300 dpi).
